If the document is issued in Bulgaria, you must make notarized copies of the originals; these are apostilled in the National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID). Afterwards the document is translated and then submitted to the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the translation is certified.

If the document is issued outside Bulgaria, but by a country which has signed the Hague Convention, it must have an Apostille affixed.

If the document is to be recognized with the Bulgarian educational system, it is translated and submitted to the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the translation is certified, and then it is submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science for recognition.
