If the document is issued in Bulgaria, it should be in the original with a reference number and date, two signatures and an ink seal of the relevant Bank as well as a stamp of the Bulgarian National Bank for legalization. The document is translated and submitted to the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for certification.

If the document is issued outside Bulgaria, but by a country which signed the Hague Convention, the document must have an Apostille. The document is translated and then submitted to the Consular Relations Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the translation is certified.
